b is for boobs.

Continuing from yesterday’ post . . .

You see, the reason I bring up the issue of men wanting bigger breast, and women desiring model like breast (a.k.a no breast at all) is I find myself it quite a position.

I’ve recently put on about 5lbs and it appears the added weight went primarily to one place. I’m trying to embrace my new body part, but there is a part of me that absolutely hates it.

Most of my tops are low cut, and for the most part it never mattered. It wasn’t like I had anything to show anyways. Yet, the other day, sitting in a meeting, I came to the realization that there was something to show for it now. And it appeared others were aware of it too. Talk about embarrassing.

Of course, my husband thinks it’s great. “Keep up the good work,” I can hear him say. But I’m thinking, “How can I cut these babies off?”

Don’t get me wrong here, I have blown open the chest gates. But I have had to leave my A behind for B’s. This brings me to a whole different topic – bras.

I'm an E cup and although I do love them, it does make clothes shopping difficult as so many clothes, especially for those aimed at younger shoppers, are designed for a b cup. There are certain styles which, though I love, I know now never to try on as I can't fit into them! I think women would like the breasts more if designers designed clothes for them though-I think some designers have forgotten that their clothes are meant to be worn by women. The editor of British Vogue recently wrote an open letter to designers saying that a stage has been reached where many sample sizes no longer fit famous models-what chance do the rest of us have?

Two more words:
Flaunt 'em!

I used to be a G cup but I lost weight and now I am a DD. I hate having big breast sometimes, and sometimes I love it. Someimes I can wear certain clothes, but I get over it. I agree with If I had a little lamb, Flaunt 'em! When you get old they are just going to hang down to the floor anyway.

I hate bra shopping! You gotta know that the idea of hooking them in the back came from a man. I think they should have to wear testicle supporters, that hook in the back...way back...behind the ass.

I dress moderately conservatively but sometimes I still feel as though I'm showing too much.

Yesterday for my casual internship (people wear ripped jeans and sandals) I walked home in a loose-fitting tulip skirt(1 inch above the knee), flats, and a cotton tee shirt. I don't understand how that garnered attention.

Sometimes it's hard to strike a balance between looking nice and too-nice..

I hate shopping for bras, too. It seems I can never find the same kinds two times in a row.

I used to not even need a bra (my little A's were lowercase for sure!) until I had Gaia and now I have boobs! The first time I noticed the effect of these powerful weapons was when I bent down to pick up some soap from a basket and the young male clerk almost fell into the basket as he lost his balance while gawking!

Luckily, my husband is a butt man because the overflowing cups will be vanishing soon...sadly.

Haha boobs are funny things. I guess it comes down to how you feel about your new bodypart. Embrace or not?

As a teenager I was surrounded by friends who enjoyed the freedom have having smaller breasts, everything from not wearing a bra to now in their 20s sporting the lower cut tops. Thanks to my latin genes, I however was graced with my C cups. It took a little while as a teenager to embrace my boobies ;-) Welcome to the dark side and do what some of the girls said, have fun with them! LOL Go out and get yourself some pretty bras and try on tops that you couldn't wear before!

i long for the A/B cup days. those were in middle school, when I had bad fashion ideas anyways. now, in D-cup land, i long for the bra-free option and the low cut, or backless dresses. SIGH. but, the girls do make my lover happy...
