slippery slope

Starting a new job is tough. Starting a new job, in a new city, with crazy long hours is super tough. I feel like time has slipped away. And though I am trying, desperately trying, to get my feet on the ground, I am having a bit of a hard time. I am not used to getting up at 6:30 am and getting home at 7:00 pm. My days are shorter, my free time less, and my ability to focus on the things I truly enjoy is dwindling.

I want to catch up on the news. I want to follow-up on fashion. I want to read a book. Play the piano. Garden. But, I am tired when I get home. You know that old, time is slipping away feeling . . . you get my point.

I am going to get some sleep and I promise, by next week I will be back in action and posting stuff you actually want to read.

I think everybody hates that feeling. It is truly demanding to juggle with everything we have to do versus what we want to do (and that keep us feeling alive and excited):/

Hope you'll get trough that:) Sugar helped me , maybe it will work for you;)

Yes everyone gets that feeling.
It'll even out before you know it and then you'll get bored. Being overwhelmed is the cusp of something greater in life.

g'luck.

I can relate to what you're going through, I had a similar scenario about 10 years ago. When you're in a situation like that, it forces you to re-prioritize. For me, it meant a whole life make-over with lots of downsizing.

I can relate...but it's not because of a job, it's because of a little crumb that entered my world 17 months ago! :)

Sleep is a good thing! Good luck!

Congratulations on your new job. It's always tiresome to be in a new position, a new place with new people. It takes some time to ajust but after a while you'll find your energy returning and you'll find time to do the things you love. I so enjoy reading your blog, it's smart, beautiful and very inspirational. Thank you and good luck!
