simple truths

"It's not what you wear, its how you wear it" or "It's all in the attitude" or "You wear the clothes, don't let the clothes wear you" . . . and so on, and so on.

Every time I see Carine Roitfeld or Emmanuelle Alt I think these truths. These ladies just wear it. What ever the article of clothing is, they wear it like it was made just for their body. Whether is cost 5 dollars or 5000, they wear it all the same. Fur, feathers, leather, who cares! They were made to wear it all. And their swagger in heels is intimidating. They walk across all surfaces - grass and rocks - without stumbling or getting stuck. Amazing. They could walk for miles and run marathons in heels. How do they do it?

And here I am, too timid to wear my Isabel Marant bomber jacket out of the house, and foolishly stumbling around in my Chloe heels. They say the 20's are supposed to be the best. But I'm looking forward to my 30's and all the confidence my age will bring.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm trying to work on the walking in heels thing at the moment. Definitely an interesting experience...

I know what you mean. I always tend to wear ''safe'' outfits so I wouldn't feel like I look like a nerd or a little girl in someone's clothes. People who can wear absolutely anything and pull it off amaze me. Maybe I will master that skill when I [soon] hit my 20s. Hopefully. *fingers crossed*

I can say with complete confidence that the 30's are way better than the 20's. They are all I looked forward to and more. YES! The 30's rock!

The 30's rock for sure. I wouldn't go back...

But I wouldn't trade my 20's for anything.
