aging isn't all that bad

If you are in need of a reminder that aging isn't all that bad, then head over to Fashionologie. She notes the ages of some not-so-young models who walked the runway in New York this past week. And I must say, it makes me feel better to know that at 38 years old you don't have to hide your face because "mature" women are finally considered hot.

I mean were the not so young models, like 24 or like 42?
Well, Pamela Anderson walked last night at Richie Rich's fashion show Heatherette...she's not looking that young.

Nice post, but seriously, we love looking at the young, airbrushed models. Save the older ones for interesting and sexy conversation. I'm 50, and know that aging sucks. I HATE the lines forming around my mouth, and the multitude of other things that point the way towards assisted living. Mature women are not "hot", but they can always be interesting and command your attention.

I just realized how depressing my previous comment is, sorry. I guess what I mean is, let's not have older women wearing some of the revealing fashions meant for younger women. Pamela Anderson, for example, might have done better to walk a more age appropriate line.

well you just have to look at garance doré's blog, jak and jil's blog to know that "older" women also rock...

I actually agree ...I'm happy about aging. I feel like people maybe finally will take me seriously ...or not. maybe I just have more confidence now and I don't care :)

Ta for the birthday wishes. Here seemed an appropriate place to comment given my 35 years and all - to be honest, the way some 16 year olds are livin' we probably look young compared to them. ;)
