Boots Made for Rain Walking

I live in Seattle. It's cold here, it rains here, and you MUST own a pair of boots. That being said, my girlfriend's birthday was yesterday and as a present to herself, she purchased a pair of boots from Fiorentini + Baker. I was unfamiliar with the company, so I checked out their site. It is still in the works. But I love the b+w photos and the design.

This leads me to a question. Where do you get your boots from? Do you like flat boots or heels? Fill me in, because I may have to go shoe shopping this weekend.

I'm a nine west fan. And always with heels! They help when you step into that huge rain puddle =)

I prefer flat boots for city life where one ends up walking everywhere. I like Pipe Lime because I can buy several pairs, have them shipped to my door, try 'em in the privacy of my own home (there is something rather humiliating about trying on boots in a store- rolling up your pant legs etc) and send back the ones that don't work all for free. I think Shoebuy has the same deal. Genius!

These boots look great and there seems to be plenty of locations in NYC to buy...I think they'd be that "really old" boot everyone will fall in love with forever.

flat boots, for sure. the taller the better, however. always 100% leather.

I also live in Seattle and I swear by my Frys for the cold days. They have enough weight all around to keep the cold out. I also LOVE vintage boots so I buy almost all my shoes on ebay. I scored some amazing vintage Frys for 9.99 about an hour ago:) just know your measurements and have a good cobbler.
