Imagination Takes Flight

Proenza Schouler showed a collection of shape and form yesterday. The duo of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez were said to be influenced by paper airplane and it showed. From dresses to trousers, each piece had unique and intricate shapes and folds. Jewel tone cocktail dresses folded and folded again, jackets came in layers, pieces cut out and added on. Honestly, it’s hard to explain how it works, but it did.

All the girls walked the runway in contrasted stockings and suede pumps - greens, pinks, yellows, purples, and blues. Oversized bows, coats, capes, all of them came in color. Some how leaving a warm, “this is the color of leaves in the fall” feeling behind.
