December Giveaway

photo here
It's that time of year - the time to give things and get them. Normally it would be time for another round of The Giveaways but I’ve decided that instead of giving away a gift to a reader, I would rather have my readers give a gift away to a family in need, a family that may not have presents under the tree this year unless we, myself and my readers help out.

That being said, I have adopted a 2 person family through the YMCA for Christmas and I’m collecting presents for them. I would love it if all my readers could give a gift. If every reader gave one thing, this family would be guaranteed to have an awesome holiday. I need to have everything sent to me by December 9 (this is two weeks away). Seeing that holiday sales start the day after Thanksgiving, you all have time to shop! If you would like to donate a gift, please send it to my work address below. You don’t have to gift wrap things, I can handle that, but if you feel so inspired to do so – go for it! You can also purchase grocery gift cards for the family. In Seattle we have Safeway, Trader Joes, QFC, and Whole Foods. The family info is below. If you have any questions, please email me at laboudoirblog@gmail.com.

This is a really beautiful thing you're doing. I will see if I can come up with something for the little boy.

OK I just went to Target and got the little boy a set of matchbox trucks and this game where you match up the trucks and vehicles to their place on the board...it looked cute! I will send them to you on Monday. Thanks again for doing this. I'm going to do something similar...you've inspired me!

that's such a selfless thing to do. I guess a few people do really know to meaning of Christmas- as corny and commercial as that sounds :)
